I gathered sprigs of switchgrass in the fall, just as the seed heads were at their prime.  I pressed these sprigs into a mold and created this solid sterling silver offset hoop pendant. A beautiful representation of our tallgrass prairie. It features a unique satin finish that contrasts beautifully with the oxidized imprint of the switchgrass plant and seed heads.  Hangs from a 19" black braided leather cord with hand-riveted ends.

Materials

Solid sterling silver pendant with a black leather cord.

Dimensions

A large pendant at 1 1/4" in diameter, it hangs from an 19" black braided leather cord that is 4mm.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
