Bittersweet pod stud earrings were created in solid sterling silver.  Posts and ear clutches are also sterling silver.  American bittersweet (Celastrus scandens) welcomes winter and colder temperatures with its warming red and orange fruit and seed pods or capsules.  She feeds the birds with her fruits in the fall and winter.  

Two choices of finish are available in these stud earrings: shiny or oxidized (darkened).  Please select the finish you prefer before adding these to your cart for purchase. 

 

Materials

The earrings are made from solid sterling silver (92.5% silver). They come with sterling silver ear clutches as shown in photos.

Approximately 1/2" from tip to tip of seed pod.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
