This piece depicts a fresh Eastern redbud (Cercis canadensis) leaf in early spring, as the tree blooms its delicate flowers and sprouts its iconic heart-shaped leaves. This rustic-edged pendant is perfect for any nature lover. Images show an 18" length chain, but other lengths are available.

Keep an eye out for these small, beautiful Kansas native trees, especially in early spring. They emerge from their winter state blooming pink flowers, adding a splash of color to the green landscape as Kansas transitions from winter to spring. In the summer, their leaves are dark green and smooth, and their heart-shaped leaf makes them even more unique.

I create each pendant by hand so they may vary slightly from the photos. Each piece is as varied as nature.

Materials

I created this redbud leaf pendant from fine silver (99.9% silver). Chain is solid sterling silver.

Dimensions

Pendant is approximately 1/2" x 5/8" oval, not including the jump ring bail.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
