This crescent moon necklace is textured with the remnants of asters after they have shed their petals and seeds.  The moon holds a blood-red garnet stone.  The prairie in fall and winter can be a beautiful quilt of texture. 

A flower moon, 𐓨𐓣͘𐓪͘𐓬𐓘 𐓡𐓧𐓘𐓮𐓤𐓘, holds memories of those passed, and holds the hope of those to come.

Materials

I created the crescent moon in fine silver (99.9% pure silver) other portions are sterling silver (92.5% silver). Stone is garnet.

Dimensions

Gemstone is 6mm and the pendant is approximately 3/4" in diameter.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Keep gemstone away from extreme heat.
