I created the acorn from black porcelain and set it in a solid sterling silver bezel setting.  I included the hand-sawn oak leaf that I engraved the veins on the front side.  This necklace is a perfect reminder of the strength of the mighty oak tree, the life-giver, the nurturer of the forest.  She supplies food and shelter to her many forest friends, and her life-producing mystery lies in the acorns she provides.

Materials

I created the acorn from black porcelain. All silver is solid sterling silver (92.5% silver). The chain is an oxidized sterling rolo chain with a handmade easy-on clasp.

Dimensions

Acorn pendant is approximately 1 1/4" in diameter, Overall length of pendant is approximately 3" including the bail. Chain is an oxidized sterling 2mm rolo chain that is 19" in length.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
