Grass Texture:

Bison tie tacks or hat pins are textured with different prairie grasses: switchgrass, ticklegrass, and buffalograss.  Each bison is oxidized, and the grass highlights are polished to bring out the rich texture of the grass. 

Select grass texture in the drop-down menu to see a close-up photo of each bison.  Select your choice of grass before adding to your cart.  

The pins in photos have sold.  Please allow slight variations as these are handmade.

Materials

Each bison silhouette is created from fine silver (99.9% silver) and is soldered to a nickel tack. The clutch is made from brass with a nickel finish.

Dimensions

Bison stands 5/8" tall, 7/8" long and with pin clutch is 1/2" thick.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
