A bison silhouette is textured with goldenrod flowers.  The bison is set in a shadowbox-like setting and stands proudly above a white buffalo stone of white and black.  The ball chain is adjustable to a maximum of 24 inches, shown in the last photo.

This piece is a symbol of resistance and survival.  My people and the bison were all under the threat of extinction, and now our native tallgrass prairie is threatened.  It's a symbol of how we are all connected to the land and each other.  

Materials

I created the bison in fine silver (99.9% pure silver). Everything else is solid sterling silver (92.5% silver), including the adjustable ball chain. Stone is white buffalo.

Dimensions

Ball chain is adjustable to 24" maximum in length. Chain thickness is 1.5 mm.

Pendant is 1 1/8" in diameter. Depth is 3/16".

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
