It's just a leaf from a blue wild indigo or false indigo plant, but it represents so much more.  These beaded fringe earrings were textured with a new leaf from a transplanted indigo plant, a gift from a friend.  When the plant started to take root and produce new leaves, I pluck a small trifolate leaf from the new shoots as a reminder that life and friends are gifts.  

The seed beads are a mix of blues and browns.

Materials

I created the textured piece in fine silver (99.9% pure silver) with sterling silver (92.5% silver) ear wires. Beaded portion is 11/0 glass seed beads.

Dimensions

These earrings are approximately 3 5/8 inches in length.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Keep the beaded portion away from contact with liquids.
