I create my crescent moon necklaces so that each has its own personality.  This one is textured with the seed head of the big bluestem prairie grass.  A smooth blue kyanite gemstone rests between the tips of the crescent moon.  Big bluestem is one of the most important tall grasses of our prairie for its contribution as food and cover for our prairie wildlife. 

The pendant is shown on an 18" length chain in photos.  Last photo is a reference to size only.

Materials

Pendant is made from fine and sterling silver. The chain is sterling silver with a lobster clasp. Gemstone is blue kyanite.

Dimensions

Pendant is approximately 3/4" in diameter. Gemstone is 5mm.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
