A beautiful pair of handmade earrings textured with the flower of the black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta).  I created these round disc earrings in fine silver and soldered them to my hand-forged sterling silver ear wires.  All solid silver as always and oxidized to bring out the rich textures.  Just enough shine to make your nature heart skip a beat and to keep your mind connected to the prairie.  

Materials

Fine silver discs (99.9% pure silver) with sterling silver (92.5% silver) ear wires.

Dimensions

Round discs are about 7/8" in diameter. Total length of earring is 1 3/8" from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the flower disc. Each earring weighs 5 grams.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
