A one-of-a-kind statement necklace made from fine and sterling silver and a golden rutilated quartz stone.  I find nature fascinating when I can see it mimic other things in nature, especially rocks.  This golden rutilated quartz is one of the finest of these stones I've seen.  The stone's inclusions look like pieces of Indiangrass that are reflecting the rays of the sun.  Nothing reminds me more of home than seeing the sun shining through Indiangrass in the fall.

The fine silver portion attached beneath the stone is textured with Indiangrass (Sorghastrum nutans).  Sterling silver rings and a backplate connect the stone and textured piece together.  It's been oxidized to bring out the beautiful texture of the grass and for contrast with the quartz stone.

Materials

The pendant is made from fine silver (99.9% silver).  Chain is sterling silver. Gemstone is Golden Rutilated Quartz.

Approximately 2 3/8" in length including the bail.

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

Don't wear jewelry while swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub. Be aware that your piece can be damaged by some physical activities.
